Welcome to Dotonbori, Japan’s craziest district

Out of the Top 5 things to do in Osaka, visiting Dotonbori district was my favourite. Both in Tokyo and in Osaka I fell in love with the over-the-top signage and neon typography that lines the busy streets. It makes otherwise ‘normal’ streets vibrate with life and colour, and at night, makes for a very exciting experience with all the lights and the crowds waltzing the streets.

But what makes Dotonbori different from the rest is that there’s not only amazing neon signs, there is lot of other crazy stuff going on if you look up. This photo story takes you on a walk through Shinsaibashi, the store-lined street that cuts through Dotonbori, at night:
